On the Mend
CATH
This workshop is a relaxed and informal introduction to upcycling a small item of furniture with the choice to choose a small item and follow all the processes from start to finish. The aim of this workshop is to create a therapeutic journey, improving mental well-being through the process of creating, repairing, and renewing an item of furniture over the course of 4 weeks.
Chair Yoga
Lindy Patterson
Chair-based practice reduces physical barriers to participation and provides a stable base of support, which can be particularly important for individuals experiencing pain, fatigue, mobility limitations, anxiety, or heightened nervous system activation. The seated format allows participants to engage with movement in ways that feel manageable
The sessions will include chair-based movement, simple breathing practices, grounding techniques, and guided relaxation. Practices are offered as invitations with options to adapt, rest, or observe at any time. You don't have to contribute to anything if you feel uncomfortable.
The workshop is paced slowly, with an emphasis on safety, choice, and self-regulation. Sessions will follow a flexible structure and may be adapted in response to the needs of the group. No previous experience of yoga is required, and all equipment is provided.
Confidence and Resilience Group
North Perth Primary Care Mental Health and Wellbeing Team
This six-week course focuses on building confidence and resilience. You will explore how confidence and resilience develop and how they influence other aspects of mental health and wellbeing, including anxiety and sleep. Confidence looks different to everyone, and there is no “right” way to build this. Ups and downs are expected; this is a gradual process that takes time.
We aim to introduce participants to a range of techniques to help them reflect on their own mental health and strengthen their ability to cope with challenges. Participants will learn practical strategies and skills designed to support you to develop confidence and resilience. The program includes handouts, take-home activities, and opportunities for group discussion throughout.
Nature Art
Nature Connects Crieff
Nature Art is an opportunity to explore creativity using a choice of written words, paints, pencils or crayons on canvas. The invitation is to allow creativity to flow onto the canvas, creating a creation that is uniquely yours. Before the module starts participants will be sent out handouts to read, links and previous creative art pieces that have been produced by previous participants. Each activity will be followed by an invitation to reflect and share. During the sessions, there will be an opportunity to take a moment, take a pause, choose another object, choose messy paints or dry pencils
