Impact Stories

Trauma affects us all in different ways. Here, we aim to capture how people have been affected, the support they have received, and how they have overcome.

Supporting Parents, Strengthening Families: Trauma Healing Together and Home-Start Perth & Kinross

In January 2026, Trauma Healing Together (THT) and Home-Start Perth & Kinross strengthened their partnership to offer a tailored version of Pathways to Hope for families with children under five.

From Volunteering to Community Leadership

“Helping others is something I am very much fond of, since I was a little girl. It gives me a joy that is so special and makes me feel worthwhile.” These heartfelt words from Sadika reflect the compassion, empathy, and sense of community that lie at the heart of Trauma Healing Together.

Abbi's Story

Abbi was referred to our service following a workplace accident that resulted in symptoms consistent with PTSD, significantly affecting her day-to-day life. She was referred to our Pathways to Hope programme by her Community Mental Health Team. Having never engaged in therapy before, she felt extremely anxious about seeking support.

Finding Hope and Healing Through Trauma Healing Together

CATH, From Training to Transformation

This initial contact developed into a collaborative relationship over the following two years, during which On the Mend worked with Pathways to Hope clients.
