“Call Me by My Name” is a six-week webinar series that explores mental health through the lens of culture, identity, and lived experience.
Tinusha, originally from Sri Lanka, is our first guest speaker in the series. She currently works as a Project Officer at Trauma Healing Together.
Before moving to Scotland, Tinusha worked as a journalist in Sri Lanka, reporting and anchoring in the newsroom. She was also an active member of Gammadda, one of Sri Lanka’s largest CSR initiatives. Meaning “for the betterment of rural communities,” Gammadda supported rural communities across Sri Lanka and gave Tinusha an opportunity to better understand the economic, social and mental wellbeing challenges faced by people in these communities.
