“Call Me by My Name” is a six-week webinar series that explores mental health through the lens of culture, identity, and lived experience.
In this reflective session, Renata explores Polish cultural attitudes towards mental health, including the expectations, values and beliefs that can shape how we understand ourselves and seek support. Drawing on her personal experience, she shares her journey from being the ‘good girl’ to becoming more of a rebel, and reflects on how this has shaped her both professionally and personally. The session invites us to consider what happens when we become disconnected from our own voice and needs, and how we can begin to find our way back to ourselves.
